Brief Bio
Niall Murtagh has written for mainstream media in the UK, Ireland and Australia on
a variety of topics including corporate culture and travel, in addition to publishing
numerous research and academic papers.
He grew up in Dublin, Ireland, but has spent most of his career in the east, working as a volunteer in a refugee camp in Dhaka, an engineer on a construction site in New South Wales, a teacher in a pacifist school in the mountains of Fukushima, before trying life in a large Japanese multinational. He has holds a master's degree from University College Dublin, diplomas from Osaka Gaidai (University of Foreign Studies) and Alliance Francaise de Paris, and a PhD from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. In 2005 he set up OM-Consulting to provide support for foreign organisations doing business in Japan. |
